Marty van Veluw the General Manager of Softlight, a Netherland based funding provider discusses the global credit crunch and its impact on the purchase of flight simulators. He anticipates that this will be an issue at the World Aviation Training Conference 2009 (WATS). According to van Veluw, financing for Full Flight Simulators like the Mechtronix Devices that were recently installed at the International Flight Training Center Instanbul is available. His company sees that area of specialty lending as a good long term investment. He anticipates that flight training and its technology will continue to be in demand globally for years based on the growing needs of airlines and Flight Training Organizations to train new and current pilots despite an economic slow down. His company will also refinance existing flight simulators to help fund new ones.
