In view of Chinas entry into the WTO and global economic integration, based on original Beijing Chang Cheng Corporation Company (the original foreign name for BCEG),IED was established on January 1, 2002 in order to bring into play the overall advantages of BCEG, expand international markets and enhance the core competitiveness of BCEG.
International Engineering Department (referred to as IED) is one of the operational business units in BCEG, undertaking the main overseas operations for BCEG including foreign project contracting, international labor and international trade, etc. We are authenticated with ISO9000 Quality System Certification, ISO14001 Environmental Management System Certification and GB/T28001-2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification.
IED actively expands the international market in accordance with the state development strategy of “Going Out Globally” and the development goals BCEG of “Establish the new international competitive corporation”. Based on great developing Mauritius Project Team, IED enters into Africa market through economic aid projects, makes efforts to restore the Asian market, and enhances the international labor ignment and international trade by following the governmental overseas investment and the overseas engineering projects. It reflects BCEG strategic intent of enlarging and enhancing international business.
From 40 people at the beginning of establishment, IED has developed into a department with nearly 500 staffs, more than 90% of whom are Technical Secondary School and Junior College Graduates. The functional divisions including Office, Financial Division, Trade Division, HR Division, Technical Quality Division, Reinforcement Division, Construction Safety Management Division, Overseas Market Management Division, Operational Quotation Division, Engineering Division I, Engineering Division II, Engineering Division II, Labor Service, etc. We successively established branches, offices and project teams at Mauritius, Malaysia, Congo, Singapore, Botswana, Togo, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Mongolia, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, the United States, the Philippines, Libya, Vietnam, etc. We undertook the establishment of buildings, road and bridge, sewage treatment, equipment leasing, airport terminals, and other construction projects, of which the representative projects are: Tanzania National Stadium, the Presidential Palace of Togo, Mauritius Southeast Expressway, Kazakhstan Beijing Building, Mongolia Shangri-La Comprehensive Building, the Philippines Coal Mine Project, New US Embassy in China, etc.
